UMR offers services to assist employers in managing employee absences involving medical leave or short-term disability. Our Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) administration complies with both federal and state regulations for unpaid leave. Services include determination of eligibility,notification of determinations to the employee and employer, and tracking of qualified time off. UMR’s short-term disability services are available at varying levels of complexity, from basic salary continuation to our full-service, check-cut option. Our staff of experts reviews disability cases to determine eligibility and the duration of time off. We also provide standard disability reports and online claim inquiry for employers and employees, issue benefit checks to the employee’s home address, and offer additional services such as subrogation and clinical consultation with a registered nurse. |
